Union was held In the Amateur Sports Clubrooni last evening, 1 when there; were present- Messrs M. J. ' Sheahan, (chairman), R. yt. Fronde, G. Stichburv, S. W. Someilieid, F. J. Ohlson, and C. V. Langsfor'd (secretary). - Ix was decided to- hold' the-annual' meeting iof delegates on April: 15. at» the Chamber, at Commerce, and the- secretary was deputed to draw up the annual report. ' A letter was read from the secretary o£ 'the. Ne>w r Zealand iiugby Union regarding .the- conference of Rugby unions of. Wueanslaud, New South Wales, and New Zealaud, held in Sydney last month, and stating that ; the committee oS the New Zealand Onion :had adopted the decisions of the conference, and. forwarded the proposed alterations lii the laws of- the game to the English Union, ■asking- that they be dealt with in terms, of .the decision arrived at by the conference*' The proposed, amendments to the rales as to professionalism are to be referred to the :'annual* meeting of the New Zealand Council. ; The latter, went on to say the committee of ; the New Zealand Union had agreed to meet the wishes of Australia ■in . the matter of sending a team from New Zealand this year. ■ The team, is to: be sent- w.ithout any financial- , responsibility: devolTlng, on. the New ; .
