Mapp, of Midhirst, Taranaki, proved the winner in I regard to the beast, with a guess of 74Glbs., Mr. E. J. Bawden (Dairy Flat) j being second with 7551b Messrs. Mapp, (Taranaki), H. ussek (Puhoi), and B. Gee (Matakana) each guessed the exact weight of the sheep, and therefore di-l vide the prize-money amongst them.
