EVIDENCE REVERSED.
SYDNEY, March 21.
The trial of Dr. Carlo Ferrucio Fiaschi and Nurse Young upon a charge of the manslaughter of a girl named Julia at Lithgow, on January 10, has been opened. The doctor who had previously stated that the post-mortem examination of the girl's body showed no indication of an operation for hemorrhoids, and that an important organ was missing, gave evidence, to-day to the effect that he had been mistaken in his former testimony. The doctor stated that the supposed missing organ had been found, to-day, in the presence of a number of medical experts, attached to another organ. There were also indications that an operation for hemorrhoids had' been ' performed. Under the circumstances he therefore reversed his previous evidence, which he I said arose through the abnormal condition of the organs.' '■
