An Auckland invention that may make big changes in the manufacture" of oil engines is now being shown at the workshops of Messrs. Holland and Gillett, Stanley-street. The machine, which is the invention of Mr. Hoiland, is of a usual high-tension, single-cylinder type, but it is practically noiseless, and, though It runs at a very high speed, there is practically no vibration. A syndicate has been formed locally to exploit the invention, and the first offer has been made to one of the largest of motor-build-ing firms in France, and Mr. Hoiland will be taking his machine to that country in a few days.
