THE' DANGERS OF FLANNELETTA (By Telegraph.—Press Association^ CARTERTON, this day. . ■'■■ At the inquest on the 4J-year-bld daughter of Mr. W. J. Macaulay,- of Carrington settlement, evidence showed that the child was burned to death through her nightclothes, which were of flannelette, catching lire. The jury added a strong rider to their verdict condemning the use of fiaiar nelette, by which, it was stated, many lives were and asking the Government to impose a prohibitive duty on this material in the cause of humanity. The material was denounced as dangerous to life, inimical to health, and it was urged that it should be banished from every household.
