HARBOUR BOARD AFFAIRS.
THE EXPERTS' REPORT HANDED IN. Mr. Walsh (chief engineer of the Sydney -Harbour Trust) and Mr. Holmes (N.Z. Government Engineer-in-Chief) forwarded to Mr. A. J. Entriean (chairman of the Harbour Board) tkrs morning their combined report upon harbour works. Their labours have been completed earlier than was expected, owing to the fact that the reports of the evidence taken •by the Board in the inquiry that has been proceeding for the past week or two was so voluminous that the experts did not find it necessary to call any of the witnesses already examined. Aβ to the nature of the report, nothing will be known until it has been submitted to a private meeting of the Board in committee. In conversation with a representative of the Auckland "Star" this morning, Mr. Entriean stated that he had received the report, and added: '"'The envelope will not be opened until I meet the Board in committee. Then we will all have a fair start with it. I will call a meeting as soon as the Easter vacation is over."
