The attention of collectors and students is dra-wn to the night auction of rare and valuable works to be sold on Wednesday evening by Messrs. Rich. Arthur and Co. in their rooms, Elliott-etreet. Amongst the collection are a number of early New Zealand works, also several old English editions, comprising the library of the late A. H. Grainger. The books will bs on view on Monday and Tuesday evenings, from 7.30 to nine o'clock. ■ -
