EOSS GOmETELDS. The cfrarrman of the Auckland Stocl Exchange (Mr G. A. Buttle) has re ceived a communication from the chair man of the Ross Goldfields, stating thai at a recent irggtbing of the Board it was decided that the chairman akme shoulc give out information to the Stock Ex change and the Press Association. Anj information coining from another sourc< may therefore not be reliable. Thi letter further states that the tuiwater ing of the mine has now been practically completed, and arrangements are beinj made to instal two large permanenl pumps, which will lift 200 gallons pei minute more water than both the sink ing pumps. With these pumps, the man ager expects to be master of the situa tion, and will then proceed to take oul wash-dirt, hoping to have a good showing.
