RECEPTION TO MR. H. BRETT.
PRESENTATION" IN" CHORAL HALL, TO-NIGRT. A public reception is to be tendered in the Chora! Hall at S o'clock this evening to Mr. H. Brett, on his return from the Imperial Press Conference in London. His Worship the Mayor will preside, and will present an illuminated address to Mr. Brett on behalf of the people of Auckland. Brief addresses of welcome will also be delivered by the Hon. E. Mitchelson and Mr. J. H. Upton. An excellent musical programme will be provided, and the Choral, Orchestral, and Liedertafel Societies will render musical items.
