DROPPED DEAD.

On Saturday evening an elderly wom-* named Eliza Taylor, a widow,"dropped dead at a boarding-house in Upper Queen street. The deceased was a resident at Whangarei, in which town she had lived for three years. She had arrived in Auckland on Saturday evening, and had gone to the boarding-hoUse to ar? range for lodgings when she suddenly expired. At an inquest held before Mr. T.
