THE KNYVETT CASE.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —The longer one dwells on this subject, the more it rankles. We have put our hand to the plough, and it now behoves us as men to see this matter through. We want no shielding of anyone, no matter who, but we do want, and will have, the truth at all costs. Let us roll up in our thousands on Monday, and if the theatre will not hold us I hope the committee will provide for an overflow meeting in the Park. This is a grand opportunity for Auckland to show her mettle and to prove once for all that the days for taking matters lying down —which we have been so often twitted with—are passed for ever. We have right on our side, and must win if we only act as men and demand our rights as free-born citizens. We will and must have justice.—l am, etc., H. M. T.
