Sir, —Would you, through the medium of the press, ask the Knyvett Defence Committee to call a monster meeting in Victoria Park in the evening, so that the masses can attend, as there is no hall large enough in Auckland to hold any great numiber; also one at the Grey Statue, and then, perhaps, our Defence Minister -will be able to see the feeling of Auckland in the persecution of a gallant officer and gentleman.—l am, etc., W.
