NAPIER COUNCIL AND CONTRACTS. SIX SEATS LOST. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, this day. The borough solicitors have advised the Mayor that five councillors, in addition to Mr. Thomson—namely, Crowley, A. J. Williams, Eagleton, Widerstrom, and K. Beecham—have rendered their seats vacant by reason of exceeding the legal limitation in the matter of supplies to the corporation, hence the Council will be in the remarkable position of having no quorum until the vacancies , are filled by process of election.
