NORTH KAIPARA SHOW.

The North Kalpara Agricultural Association held its annual show yesterday under the best of climatic conditions, and more than 800 visitors enjoyed the exhibition. There were some exceptionally nne entries in the sneep section, the Romneys and Shropshire Downs being the best exhibits. Shorthorns predominated In the stock section, but the Polled Angus, Devon and Jersey cattle ran them close ; the best stock samples were ia the dairy and beef classes. A flne lot of horses were entered for competition, and so good was the quality that the judges had some difficulty in making their decisions for awards. The Indoor exhibits were shown in the Garrison Hall. Though the fruit display was not quite so good as that of last year, it was still excellent, and the display of flowers was one of the best yet shown. The awards in the cattle and sheep sections were as follows:— . Cattle.—Shorthorns : Grown bull, T. and R. Wilson : cow, heifer, and bull, G. Cliff. Devons: Grown bull, R. and G. Smith; yearling bull, P. Steunsl; heifer. G. Cliff Jerseys: Cow, Kussell Smith; heifer, W. Glbbs; dairy cow in milk, RusselT Smith; pen of heifers, T. and R. Wilson; best heifer, P. W. Glbbs: fat ox. J. J. Lord; three steers for freezing. A. J. Dreadon. Sheep.—Lelcesters : Ram, H. Tibbits • ram lamb, V. Nntsford: three ewes. H Tlbblts: ewe lambs, V. Nutsford. Romneys • Ram, C. A. Wilson: ram lamb, G. Cliff; thre» ewes, G. Cliff: ewe lambs, G. Cliff. In Shropshires G. and R. Coates secured all awards. Crossbreds: Three ewes. T and R. Wilson; ewe lambs. C. A. Wilson.
