WATHI RETURN. £54,246 FOR 18 DAYS. The return from the Waihi mine for the 18 days of January, since the holidays, was £54,246, for which yield 24j227 tons of ore were treated. This brings up the total output to £8,227,509. Appended are previous returns:— Total output to December, 1909 £8,173,263 January, 1910, 24.22T tons .. £54,248 Total output to date £8,227,509 OLD HAURAKI. Shortly' after 4 o'clock yesterday, the following telegram was posted from the manager of the Old Hauraki mine:— "Xnirty pounds specimen stone, seaward corner of the rise, at the 400 feet level. Gold still showing. Only small portion broken down."
