Albert Road Board (hereinafter called "The Local Authority") to apply to Ills Excellency the Governor-lu-Couucll for an Authorising Order under the provisions of "The Tramways Act, 1U0S" (unless forbidden by the ratepayers in the manner prescribed by the said Actj, authorising the extension within the District of the Local Authority of the Tramways known us the Auckland .Suburban Electric Tramways. AND FURTHER, that In the event ot such Authorising Order being granted, it is the Intention of the Local Authority on the granting of the same (unles3 forbidden by the Ratepayers as aforesaid) to delegate the Authority conferred by such Order to The Auckland Electric Tramways Company, Limited, by virtue of the powers vested in the Lot-ill Authority by Section 0 of the aald Tramway Act. THE PARTICULARS of the proposed Undertaking and of the delegation thereof are as follows:— a. Tho description of the proposed works is an extension from the present terminus of the Klngsland Tramway at the junction of Klngs-laud-road with the iv'ew North-road t!> and alonx the New North-road to a poiut about one hundred feet distant from the Northern side of the Kalpara Kailway Crossing; such extension to be worked by applied electric power by means of the overhead trolley system, in the same method as the tramway already constructed by the uald Company under and by virtue of a certain Deed of Delegation from the "Local Authority to the said Company, bearing date the Second Day of August, 11)01 (hereinafter culled "the lit Albert Deed of Delegation No. 1"), and to be constructed in tho manner mentioned In the Ml Albert Deed of Delegation No. 1. b. The plans and cross sections, showing the nature of the work and the line of construction, are deposited for public inspection In the Ullice of the Local Authority, New North-road, Morulugside. c. It is intended that the authority contained in the said Authorising Order shall be delegated by the Local Authority to The Auckland Electric Tramways Company, Limited. d. A general description of tho terms and t'oudiitioua, subject to which the delegation is to be made, is as follows: -All the powers and authorities of the Local Authority under the Order-ln-Couucll shall be delegated to the said Company -tor the period of Thirty-three Years from the date of the Order-ln-Couue.il. The Company shall complete the said extension and have it open for traffic within Eighteen Mouths from the date of the Order-ln-Council, and shall thereafter during the said period keep and maintain a line of tramway upon the route mentioned in Clause (a) hereof, and run cars thereon according to Timetables upon the terms aud conditions and under and subject to the powers nnd remedies of the Local Authority iv case of default mentioned or referred to iv the proposed Deed of Delegation, with liberty to the Ivocal Authority to purchase the Undertaking of the said Company n't the time and in manner therein mentioned. c. Copies of the proposed Order-ln-Coun-cil and of the proposed Deed of Delegation, together with copies of original Order-ln-Councll for the Auckland Suburban Electric Tramways, dated the Twenty-Seventh Day of April iOOI, and of the said Mt. Albert Deed of Delegation No. 1, aire deposited and open for public Inspection at the Office of the Local Authority before-mentioned.
