RIFLE SHOOTING.

SOUTH AUCKLAND MEETING. The following will represent the A squadron First Auckland Mounted Rifles at_the South Aurkland Rifle Association's meeting at Te Aroba to-day and to-niorrow: —Captain Potter, Lieutenant Holden, Lieutenant Atkinson, Lieutenant Ellinghnm. Quartermas-ter-Sergeant Morgan, Trooper Potter, Buglers J. W. and J. C. Morgan. HAWKE'S BAT COMPETITIONS. NAPIER, Thursday. The second annual shoot of the Hawke's Bay Rifle Association, for the Collins Shield, nnd other competitions for money prizes, took place at Roy's Hill, near Hastings, today. There was an entry of 80 competitors. The light was Rood. The wind Increased slightly as the day wore on. The Collins Shield, seven shots at 20Oyds, 500 yds. and 600 yds, was won by the Opaki Rifle Club, with a si-ore of 476 points. The other scores were: Napl?r Rifles, 472; Napier Guards 4R5: Ohura Rifle Club. 451; Dannevlrke Rifles, 450: Ranfnrly Rifles, 44!>; Hnwke's Bay Mounted Rifles, 440; Taradale Rifle Club, 435. The following are the lending scores In the Hastings match, seven shots at 200 yds, 500 yds, and 600yds:—Sergeant James (Napier). £2 10/, 00; Colour-Sergeant Grindell (Napier), £2, ft": Trooper G.
