The annual meting of householders in counectlon with the Paeroa flre brigade was held on Tuesday night. Mr W. D. Nichols (president) presided. The annual report and balance-sheet, ehowing a credit balance of £46 3/8, were adopted. The following were elected as the Fire I'reventiou Council for the ensuing year: Messrs. Crosby, Martyn. Quick, Moresby, and Xjcbolns. A.t a meeting of the Fire Prevention Council, held after the public meeting, Mr N'lcholas .was re-elected president, and Mr Quick was elected secretary. The Karanpihake teams to take pert in the South Auckland Bowling Associations tournament nt Rotorua on the 28th and 2f>th inst. are as follows:—U) C. Uoyd Uuthrle, L.
