OLD HAURAKI. The following telegram was received from the mine manager of the Old Hauraki yesterday:—'• Sixty pounds specimen stone opposite end rise'4ooft. level; go'J still showing-; breaking down proceeding." WEST COAST MIXES. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) GREYMOUTH. Wednesday. The returns from the Rcefton mines are as follows:—Progress mine, crushed 3376 tons, yielding £4884, and eyanided 2078 tons, yielding £1071); Wealth of Nations, crushed 1845 tons, value £3fIGS; Hlaekwater, crushed 21)50 tons, value £0820. ROMULUS. WAIHI, this da.y. Mr. Geo. Arnold, who is negotiating with London mining speculators in connection with the disposal of the Romulus claim, Waihi, is, in accordance with the deed of option, in receipt of £ 100 from London. By a recent communication from that gentleman dated at Masterton he anticipated the complete success of the negotiations entered upon,and hopes that the remittance will be shortly followed by such an amount as will enable active operations to commence on the claim.
