MESSRS. ALFRED BU'CKLAND AND SONS' REPORT. Horses.—At the Haymarket on Friday last we again had a full yard. Aged and worn draughts sold at from £11 10/ .to £25, spring cart and light wagon class £18 to £24, buggy horses, and good hacks £13 10/ to £25. light harness sorts £8 to £18 15/, gig ponies and ordinary backs £3 to £10 10/, weed; all prices. The thoroughbred Don Cossack realised 21gu«, and the hunter Miss MagKie £25. At Pukekohe on Monday we held a special horse sale, and yarded over 250 horses of all classes. We had a full yarding of stock of all descriptions at Waiuku on Saturday. There was a large attendance, and competition keen for all classes, prices being In advance of those ruling lately. The HelensvlUe Yards on Wednesday were well filled with stock, for which competition was good. Practically the whole yarding was cleared at ruling figures. At Remnera on Thursday dairy cows sold from £3 to £10, according to age and quality. Dry cows sold from £2 10/ to £5, empty cows and heifers £3 to £4 3/, bulls £4 to £10 5/. Young aud fat calves came forward in average numbers, and sold freely from £2 to £2 12/ —78 sold. There was but a moderate yarding of fat cattle. Prices were firmer, ox beef selling ito 22/ and cows to 20/ per 1001b. Steers ranged In price from £0 to £9 15/, cows £3 10/ to £7—320 sold. There was a full yarding of mutton and lamb. The former met with a steady sale right through. Lamb was easier. Wethers in .their wool sold to £1 0/6, shorn 12/8 to 10/6. woolly ewes to IS/, shorn 10/6 to 15/—IBOO sold. The Mount Lyell returns from October 7th to November 3rd Inclusive, show that 25.862 tons of ore were treated, also 17 tons of purchnsed ore. The converters produced 604 tons of blister copper, containing copper 056 tons, silver 60,4640z5., gold 1347 ozs. The half-yearly report of the company shows a net profit of £139,850. The dividend of fifteen per cent, and bonus of sixpence a shnre-pald in June absorbed £105,000.
