LAWN TENNIS.
AVCEI/AXD LAWN TENTHS ASSOCIATION. A meeting of delegates to the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was held last evening. Mr W. R. Holmes presiding. The following entries were received for the Interclub competitions, which commence on November 27th:— First grade: Pamell. West End, Auckland, and Eden nnd Epsom. Second grade: Devonport, Kemuera, Onehunga, and Mwunt Albert. Third grade: Birkenhead. Ellerslle, Otahuhu, and Papatoetoe. The draw resulted as follows:— FIRST GRADE. First Round, November 27.—Parnell T. West End; Auckland v. Eden and Epsom. Second Round, December 11.—Auckland v. West End; Parnell v. Eden and Epsom. Third Round: Auckland v. ParnelU West End v. Eden and Epsom. SECOND GRADE. Firat Round, November 27.—Devonport T. Remuera; Onehnnga v. Mount Albert. Second Round, December 11.—Remuera t. Onehunga: Mount Albert v. Devonport. Third 'Round.—Onehunca v. Devonport; Remuera v. Mount Albert. THIRD GRADE. First Ronnd, November 27.—Birkenhead v. Ellerslie; Otahnhu v. Papatoetoe. Second Round, December It—Ellerslie T. Otahuhu; Birkenhead v. Papatoetoe. Third Round.—Ellerslie v. Papatoetoe; Birkenhead v. Otahuhu. It was decided to abolish the old system of scoring, which last year was: A grade, 5 points for a win, and B grade 3 points. This season three sets will be played, one point being awarded for each set, the third set to be 'vantage.
