(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, this day. Mr. G. Hutchison (Opposition candidate for the Rankitikei vacancy) opened his campaign last night with an address at Wanganui East. He explained that the time being too short to allow the arrangement of a compromise between himself and Mr. Hockley, they had decided that both should go on, and who ever was left in the second ballot, the other would assist.
