CROWN LANDS BOARD.
The Auckland Crown Lands Board met this morning. Present: The Commissioner (Mr E. .C. Gold Smith) and Messrs A, B. Harris, J. Armstrong, Captain Swindley, and J. J. Trounson. ;.■ . RANGERS' REPORTS. >u° Ranger Ewen reported that he had been inspecting In the Piako and Waikato Counties*- making five inspections, covering an area of 18,806 acres. Ranger Kensington" reported that he had made 10 Inspections In the Rotorua and Waihl East survey districts, covering ao are of 4408 acres. Improvements required, £1129; effected, £2097. There were nine defaulters'. He also made 25 miscellaneous , inspections over an area of 8219 acres.. Hanger Shannon reported that he. h»<l made seven inspections in the Takahu* survey district, covering 2TOO acres. Improvements required, £1530; effected, £228!* lie also made one miscellaneous inspection. Ranger Steedman reported eleven inspections in the Puketl and Walpu paWshel, covering 5854 acres. Improvements required, £3100; effected, £3150. Three defaulters. He also made 13 miscellaneous inspections. ;. ~ Hanger McKay reported that he ."naflt 32 Inspections In the Woipoua and Tutr.>no» survey districts, covering 7771 acres. .Jig" provemeuts required, '£2698; effected; it!l3. There were 15 defaulters.
