A CONFIDENCE TRICKSTER.
(Received 8.40 a.m.) LONDON, August 25. George Thompson, an American, was to-day found guilty of having stolen £100 from William Strong, an Australian merchant, by means of the confidence trick, and was sentenced to six months' imprisonment. Thompson's confederate escaped.
