As the result of the joint visit of representatives from the City Council and Grey Lynn Borough Council to the outfall of the Cox's Creek sewer yesterday afternoon, it was decided to connect the outfalls with the main drainage scheme, and to fill in the area with the view of forming a reserve, the Grey Lynn Council's engineer being instructed to prepare plans and estimates for the work. When the work is carried out, a 22-acre reserve will be vested in the Grey Lynn Borough Council, and the fear of future contamination removed.
