SHOCKING FATALITY.
MAX'S HEAD BLOWN OFF. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) G-REYMOUTH, Wednesday. An accident occurred at Blackball this afternoon, whereby a young man. James Meehan, 30 years of age, was killed. It appears that Meehan was working at the Blackball Coal Company's siding blasting rocks. He was lamping a shot, when it exploded, practically blowing his head off. Deceased «as a single man, and resided with his parents at Blackball.
