AND the knife BLUNT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent* THAMES, this day. John McCurdy, who was before th* Court the other'day charged with being of unsound mind, and was liberated, attempted to commit suicide last night. First he wandered to the foreshore and walked out into the gulf, but returned covered with mud, and was found lying iv the street with his throat cut. Constable Doyle brought the man to'th* station, where a doctor sewed up tha wound. The man is now in Hospital, but is not seriously injured.
