--(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent. OHBISTCHUKCH, this day. ' Canterbury College students celebrated Diploma Day at a concert in the Opera House last evening, when a large and fashionable audience attended. A feature of the performance was a musical melodrama played in costume, '<but perhaps the most humorous feature •w-as the stedtents' songs dealing with current One, entitled "Tommy T." was sung" to-The tune, "I Wouldn't fLeave My Little Wooden Hut," and the first Terse and chorus ran*.— Dnce In out city lived, known to all, a bold M.P., longing for fame or someone to-fight, co he chose J.G. That chief had promised a. battleship, HIS praises sounded on every lip, This raised tbe M.P.'s ire, Straig-h£way__e .Bent_a. wire: ""Dear Asqulth, — Contit your Dreadnoughts when they're hatched, For jon haven't got them yet.'* -Rerign!" the electors cried, SVhat a shock when he replied: Chorus— —
5 couldn't leave my cosy little iob 'for you, J've had one beating and I don't want two; jShat might happen there is no guessing, If I resign, 'spose you'd thin— it a blessing, *Sut 1 couldn't leave my cosy little job -for - you.
