A sis-roomed house, on an allotment 75ft by 188 ft., in the bankrupt estate of Joseph Powell, Grange-road, Mount Eden, was put up for auction this afternoon by Richard Arthur and Co., acting under instructions from the official assignee, and -realised £315. A collision occurred on Coffey's Hill, Epsom, this afternoon, between a tramcar and a hfrse and cart. The cart was smashed to pieces, ■the horse and driver \ having a miraculous escape, while the I car was badly damaged in front, and had to be towed back to the Epsom barn.
