DARGAVILLE.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) DABUAVILLE, Saturday. XORTHKKS WAIKOA. All the creameries will be closed down for the seasou at the end of. the current month. Notwithstanding the abundance of feed, the milk yield is steadily fallilig, the end of the season being practically at hand. This fact was very much-in evidence last month, when the total payments made to suppliers by the Northern Wairoa Dairy Co. only amounted to L&M. Even this is considerably iv excess of what was paid for the corresponding period last year, thus demonstrating a steady advance in output. The Northern Wairoa Amateur Operatic Society propose produciug at Dargaville and the river townships, early in June, Gilbert and Sullivan's "Mlkaclo." Great preparations are belug made, and the caste of characters includes Miss Parker as "Yum yum," and Mr Norman Warren as "Nanki Poo," both of Waihi. The stage arrangements are under the control of Miss Power, also of Waihi.
