Arch Hill Gnlly.—The- Board decided to join the city and other local bodies In the cost of cleaning the Arch Hill gully. Bond-Street.—The Department o* Ebads forwarded notification that an Order-In-Council had repealed the former one which necessira'ted setting: back the bnildlnjr line In Bond-street to 33ft from the centre of the road. ■Water Mains.—The City Emrfneer notified his Intention of laying water mains to the reservoir now in course of construction at Arch Hill. The Board decided to ask for further particulars. Finance.—The chairman gare a statement of the Board's finances, which showed a debt of £252 15/4. Mr. Hawkins said he intended to move in the direction of considering the advisability of raisins a loan to do necessary works in the district. He pointed out that practically all the rates had been absorbed on the Great Xorth-road deviation. The chairman said ft was time they considered a reasonable loan to do various works, such as Cracroft-street, Com-mercial-road, and other places, as well as drainage works, joining np with the main they were. Arch Hill was simply a little district in the middle of larger ones, and they were doing nothing but patching. It was decided to further consider this mattei at the special meeting to be.held shortly, Great Norch-road.—On the motion of Jidr. Hawkins, seconded by Sir. Hoaghton. 11 was decided to tar and sand the footpatb on the Great North-road.
