The following recommendations were made at a pastoral, session held last evening in connection with the Methodist conference: That the Rev=>. F. Capeland, A. C. Kanderson, and K. RicEards Ibe received for ordination; that the Revs. J. K. Clark, P. 11. rParia, C. .Roberta, W. H. D. Abbey, W. W. Avery, C. Blair, 11. A. G. Kick, W. G. Maslin, W. B. Scott, G. Sivadden, E. Cos, C. B. Jordan, J. F. Martia, F. Rands, W. H. Spier, R. B. Tinsley, and J. B. Beeche paas in their respective years. It was decided that Messrs. A. F. Burchell, C. L. Clyde, >*. J. Evajis, R. Goswell, G. B. H-unteiy W. PeA, A. H. Schriven, and W. A.-Watson be received as candidates for the ministry, Messrs. Burcliell and Turner to be given immediate employment in circuit work. Messrs. Goswell, Schriveoi, and Oarr expressed a, desire to enter the foreign mission field. Mr. D. Wilcox was received as a na,tive, minister on. trial. The Rev. A. J. Seamer -»-os transferred from Maori to EngU3h work. Applications ' for superannuation of Revs. W. C. Oliver, D. McNioholl, S. J. ■ Garlick, and T. E. Thomas were approved. i It was decided in open conference that the Christchurch mission should be in- ! corporated with the Dunham-street circuit on condition that a probationer be appointed instead of a married minister.
