SCOTLAND BEATS IRELAND. LONDON, February 27. The international match between Scotland and Ireland resulted in a win for Scotland, who secured three tries (nine points), while Ireland's only score was a penalty goal (three points). In Saturday's football Merthyr met the Australian League team, but were beaten, securing fire tries, as against two goals' end three tries obtained by the Australian professionals.
