FOREIGN TARIFFS.
NEW FRENCH DUTIES. LOXDOX, February 27. A dispute is proceeding in regard to the tariff details between the French Government and the Parliamentary Committee respecting frozen meat. The latter urge a general tariff of 50 franca, and the Government urge 35 francs out of consideration to the Canadian Convention. HINDERING BUSINESS. NEW YORK, February 27. Mr W. H. Taft, in the course of an interview, said he favoured a revision of the tariff. He added that the existing schedules were impeding business like the drag on a brake.
