FIRST ROUND. - "A" SECTION. Onehunga (Bradley) 29, beat Devonport (Ej're) 12. Mount Albert (Ashton) 19, beat Otahuhu (Mclndoe) 14. Ponsonby (Baddeley) 25, beat Ponisonby (Buchanan) 13. "B" SECTION. Ponsonby (Darby) 26, beat Otahuhu (Grant) 12. Auckland (Myers) 18J, played a drawn game with Auckland (Lyons) 18*. Remuera (Garland) a bye. The game skipped by Myers and Lyons afforded a particularly exciting finish, as the figures indicate. At the twentieth head Myers was lying game, and in the j final head he took out the shot, leaving his side with a five-point advantage. Lyons, however, with a beautiful bowl, reduced the lead to one, and then, with a well-timed shot, secured the two major points necessary to secure a tie.
