Sir Win. and Lady Stewart leave Wellington on February 12 for to visit their son. Dr and Mrs Marten, of Adelaide, who have been visiting Wellington, have proceeded to Rotorua. Mr Jesse Timson, of Dunedin, will leave for Auckland on Monday to attend! the Conference of Musicians. 1 Mr H. P. K. Wyatt, assistant officer ■ in charge of telegraphs at Auckland, is at present en a visit to Napier. Captain Norbury, of the s.s. Raraw'a. is once more convalescent, although ho will not resume his duties for a fow weeks yet. The Very Rev. Dean Smyth, of Hastings (Hawke's Bay) is at present on a visit to Te Aroha. Mr and Mrs H. W. Anderson, of Kingston-on-Thames (England), who have been visitors to Wellington, have left for the West Coast, and will afterwards visit the Hot Lakes district. They are to leave Auckland for Vancouver on February 17. Mr W, Jeffries, the defeated candidate in the Opposition interest, for the Geraldine seat at the recent election, was presented by his supporters at Temuka last evening, with a purse of 150 sovereigns. Amongst the recent callers at the Government Tourist Bureau, have been— Mr J. W. Easton and Miss Easton (Sydney), Mr E. R. Sprigg3 (Killara, N.S.W.), Mr J. B. Lawton (Melbourne), Mr T. B. Lα Barte (Singletorn, N.S.W.), Messrs. D, M. and W. Gunn (Christehureh), Mr and Mrs S. J. Gordon (Waneanui).
