The weather was very disagreeable for training operations at EJlerslie this mornIng, rain falling throughout, making the tracks sloppy. All the fast work was done on the sa.nd and grass, which, all things considered, were iv good order. i\ Hill was first out, and sent Darkness a mile on the sand, Bluerocket assisting over the last five furlongs, the mile taking 1.57 2-5. Kapurangi alone sprinted five furlongs on the grass in 1.7 3-5, Censure running a furlong less on the same track in 54 3-ss. Mark Time pleased better than Rarata alone galloped live "furlongs on the grass in 1.5 4-5, Coromandel covering a furlong less of the same track in ols. a distance L'tonia got to the cud of In 52 2-js.
