(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) . NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. The Taranaki Agricultural Societyll show opened yesterday in fine weather. The exhibits are above the average. The Hon. J. D. Ormond's Lady Glen wad pronounced the champion draught mare. Champion Jersey bull: Short's Pride o| Beaconsfield I, Griffiths and Cornwali'a imported bull Campaniles Saltan 2, Clark's Starlight reserve champion* Champion cow: Watkins* Heather 1, Clarke's Lady Disdain 2, Griffiths and Cornwall's Magnet's Peggy reserve champion. In the Aberdeen Angus classes, J. J. Campbell took all awards. In pedigree Shorthorn, Hoskins' Carnegie was the champion bull, and Gibson's Cambridge Rose champion cow. In Holsteins, King's bull was champion. la Ayrshire;, Hawkins and Olson were the chief prize-takers. Sheep.—ln English Leicesters, Hoskin and Corrigan divided the awards. In Border Leicesters, Corrigan. In Lincolns, Gadsby defeated Corrigan. Hampshires, Nfewton King; Shropshires, Corrigan am} Campbell. In Berkshire pigs. Sellers won all tie prizes. Factory Butter.—Bell Block won LoveO and Christmas' 75 guinea trophy, Warea second. The society's 25 guinea trophy also fell to Bell 'Block, with Tarata second. At the society's annual dinner last night, Mr. Gilruth was presented with a gold medal, and -was made a life member of the society. There i≤ perfect weartier for the people's day.
