It Twas sta.ted that the man had "been sentenced in Copenhagen to two years' imprisonment, and released at the end of nine. inoiiths on condition that he came to this Dominion.. In reply to his Honor, prisoner said he ■was sent out by the Danish Government as a suitable immigrant. His Honor: "What were you sent ta> gaol for?" Prisoner: "For stealing." His Honor said he thought a matter of this kind should be looked into. Prisoner "was sentenced to three years' imi prisonment.
