INQUEST AT KARANGAHAKE.
(By Telegraph*—Own Correspondent* • KARAJTGAHAKK. Tuesday. An inquest, was held to-day before Mr; W. Forrest, coroner, without-a jury, on the body of Wm. Tregoweth; Who'was found dead in bed this morning. Richard John- Boss, mine - manager of the Karangahake Gold Mining-Company, said that on Saturday list Tregoweth complained of palpitation of the heart and. pain in the hearts Tliis morning,: about eight o'clock, he went to his whare and found him lying on a-stretcher dead: Dr; Cheeseman said he made a post niortem examination of the body. In his opinion the immediate cause of; death was- heart- failure due to fatty degeneration. Deceased* had been dead at least two days. . The coroner gave a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
