THE GRAY COMBINATION. The Gray combination brought theii Auckland s.easou to a conclusion on Satur day. when some very attractive display: WPr e George Gray conceded 100 il 4<X) up , to Mr VV. E. Hackett. and won bj ft" points, his best efforts being R2. 57, 4a 4 ., r T , oo a-nd -jl. Mr Uackett's bes breaks" were 35, 26, 24. 23, anil 2:i. Harrj Gray was matched against Mr J. Jackson 300 up level, the Queensland champion wiD nin-' by a margin of ttl and making break; of 128 (a splendid effort). 44. 40. 23, and 23 Mr Jackson's best scores were 33. 25. an< 24. Messrs Jackson and Hackett made to) scores in two games of snooker, making 3and 31 respectively. In the evening George Gray played Mr T. C. Bragge a game of 4* up. level. Mr Bragge soon reached 133 b the boy's 33. when the latter set out in ci cellent style *virh breaks of 28, 27. a and 227. and won by 17i> points. His mail break of 227 was mostly compiled off til red ball. Harry Gray also played Mr Bragg a game of 300 up on level terms. Gra: gave the best display of his tour throug! the Dominion, running to game a winner b. 2H9 poinrs. Gray made breaks of lOd am ISI. in which top of tablo play predomi nated. and had only five innings in compi! ing his points. George Gray gave an illus tration of bis skill by the aid of the mass stroke, making cannons round a hat and pyramid triangle. Harry Gray was mos successful in an exhibition of useful. fanc3 and trick shots of much variety and clever ness.
