FAVOURITE NOVELIST'S GREAT SERIAL
READ "BEHIND SHUTTERED WINDOWS." The partnership of Alice and Claude Askew has been responsible for some very excellent novels. "The Shulaimite," "The Blue Diamond," and other stories will be pleasantly remembered by a great number of readers. But great as has been the popularity of these books, it is pretty safe to predict that they will be eclipsed by the latest work from the pens ol these gifted writers. "Behind Shuttered Windows," their latest romance, is ;i dramatic as well as a highly literary novel, and nothing more intensely fascinating has been published of late. The first chapters appear iv our columns this evening., and the tale will be completed in weekly instalments. Another story that we would like to draw attention to is "Her Masterpiece," by Henry C. Rowland, a very entertaining short serial, which, commencing this , evening, will be completed in gome ten i daily instalment*:
