STORIES OF PRISON LIFE.
Among a very fine selection of articles in the magazine section of the paper today we wish to draw special attention to the first of a series under the title "The Lighter side of Prison Life." The articles "Tobacco and Fighting," and those to follow are from the pen of tv man, a great portion of whose life was spent within the four walls of the Auckland prison at Mt. Eden. They will be found to be a real human document, the work of a man whom many years of prison life have failtd to rob of an acute sense of humour and a catholic sympathy for every kind of distress. Tbe articles wfll be contmucd each W-dn_-d_y for some weeke, and shot-id kt x-*d fcjr et—srytm*.
