LATE TELEGRAMS.

. SUDDEN DEATH. GREYMOUTH, this day. While working at Ngahere sawmill, an employee, T. Neil, complained of pain, and expired almost immediately. He had been subject to fits. Deceased came from Southland. A FATAL ERROR. DUNEDIN, this day. The adjourned inquest as to the death of Thomas Carr. burned in a benzine explosion on the Moana, at Port Chalmers, on September 1, was concluded this morning. The chief witness was Mr. Nicol, engineer, another victim of the explosion, who had sufficiently recovered to attend. He said the deceased was proceeding to fill a lighted lamp from what looked like a kerosene tiu, when an explosion immediately occurred. Judging by the smell, it was benzine that the deceased used. A verdict was returned that death 1' was due to burns, the result of an explo- ' sion of benzine, used by deceased instead I of kerosene. I
