_______________________ Our Birkenhead correspondent writes that a resident of that district has shown him an egg of abnormal size, laid by a buff Orpington hen. It measures round the centre no less than eight inches, and lengthways ten inches. On being broken, it was found to contain another egg of the ordinary size, with shell complete.
