ASHBUBTON, this day. A peenliar shooting, affair was reported to the police this morning. It appears that William McClimont, a' resident of Mt. Somers, on answering a. knock at bis door last night, was confronted by :<& tall man, who ordered him to put up ;his hands, at the same time threatening him with a revolver. McClimont immediately attempted to shut the door, and the visitor fired, the ball grazing his ear. The miscreant then decamped. Investigations are proceeding.
