ENGINES FOR MAIN TRUNK.
s (By Telegraph.—Press Association.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. At the Addington railway workshops eight large compound engines are under construction for use on the Raurimu spiral of the North Island Main Trunk railway. The boilers each weigh 16 tons 10 cwts empty, and are the largest locomotive boilers in the Dominion. It is expected that two of these engines will be ready in two or three months from the present.
