NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the Waitemata County Council will be held at the County Offices, Palmerston Buildings, Queen-street, Auckland, on FRIDAY, 2iid day of October, 1908, at il a.m., when the following Resolution! passed at a Special Meeting of the said Council held on Friday, the seventh day of August, 1908, will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order:— " That the Waitemata County Council hereby make a by-law drawn for that purpose under the provisions of the ' Public Works Act, 1905,' and the ' Counties Act, 1886,' and of every other power thereunto enabling it, the object being to prohibit any person while driving along any road in the County of Waitemata to suffer, permit or allow the same to be or remain on any footpath; to provide that every person, whilst driving cattle along any road in the County shall exercise reasonable care in order to prevent same from going on to any footpath, and to provide that no person shall ride, lead, or conduct any horse, or drive any vehicle along any footpath! in the County. A penalty of a sum not exceeding Five Pounds is provided for any breach of the By-law, a copy of which is deposited at the County Office, Palmerston Biuildings, aforesaid, and will remain open for inspection of the public during office hours, for at least 30 days immediately preceding the Special Meeting to be held as aforesaid on the Second day of October, 1908."
