■ » HOPE PRACTICALLY ABANDONED. "WANAKA TO SEARCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The steamer Wanaka is to sail this afternoon for Auckland Islands to search for the missing barque Loch Lomond. All hope of the vessel being found is practically abandoned, nautical authorities considering that she must have foundered during the recent easterly gales, when several boats were wrecked on the Australian coast.
