RACING NEWS.
AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Committee was held last evening, the Hon. E. Mitchelson presiding. A trainer's license was granted to W. J. Tozer. The application of the Otahnhu Racing Clnb for permission to bold their meeting at Alexandra Park was refused.
AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
The Anckland Racing Club Committe, met last evening, the Hon. E. Mitchelson in the chair. The tender of Mr. W. Casey, of £45t_ for the erection of the new members' stand, was accepted. It was decided to reserve the stand for members only, and also to reserve a portion of the main stand for the accommodation of members and lady friends.
